Bee Experience

Approximately 1.5 hour long.

• A "fits most" suit (jacket, veil, gloves) will be provided.  If you are not a fits most person please let us know so we can make accommodations.
• You may bring your own bee suit if you have one.
• A suit jacket and veil must be worn at all times in the bee yard.  Gloves are optional.
• Tight and or dark clothes are not advised.
• Long pants and closed toe shoes required.
• This is a weather dependent event and only during mid day hours.
• Ages 9-99 are welcome.
• Experiences run from mid April to late September.
  • We will work with you on an available date.
  • You may order any time and it will be honored during the year of purchase.
• 1 to 5 people per experience group.  If you need more people please contact us.
  • School field trips and youth clubs are welcome.  Call for pricing.

What you get:

• Short class time to go over the parts of the hive, colony and the life cycle of bees.
• Borrow some basic bee suit equipment and tools.
• Visit the hives on the property.
• Answer questions as you think of them.
• Catch and mark a drone (as if it were a queen)
• Taste honey right out of the hive.
• And take all the pictures you want!
